Locomotive Aerowagon Titanium

Aerowagon

Titanium drop bar for gravel and bikepacking
Locomotive Aerowagon, the gravel that none was expecting.

With Aerowagon we wanted to explore the limit of the gravel as none have done before.
We have started from our testers desire to get a performance oriented gravel, for the most technical trails, that is also light and quick, but that can face stiff climbing and rough terrains.

In this project (Code name Crimson) we have done a lot of importance to the stability of the bike in order to keep high speed with a bikepacking set-up on every terrain.

The result is a playful gravel that every modern mob rider will enjoy, with a long Reach and Stack that allow the use of a short stem to improve the readiness of the bike on narrow turns and tortuous path.
The bottom bracket is lower than the other models to increase the stability in order to face long days of pedaling without having any position issue.

The titanium frame has all the distinctive traits of our gravel bikes, which means Breezer style dropouts and a really stiff chainstay for a better transmission of the motion energy, wide tire clearance and a huge space into the frame triangle for fitting a full frame bag.

The variable geometry it's always a feature that we provide in our frames. On Aerowagon in addition to the eccentric bottom bracket, like Westlander and Scotsman, and the fork with variable rake, we have added a new option. In every Aerowagon frame, we will provide a Cane Creek Angleset, that allow an angle variation of +/- 0,5°/1,0°/1,5°. So you can adjust the angle with a range of 3°, in order to perfectly calibrate the stability of the bike during your trip, and the dynamism during your unloaded gravel rides with a complete series of adjustments.

Flat Mount disc standard
The titanium frame is corrosion resistant and it has a new design decals.
Tire clearance 700c x 52
Locomotive Titanium triple butted tubes with a top tube internal butting and an elliptic seat tube oriented transversely to the bottom bracket.
Carbon fork with variable rake 47,52 mm.

Included a Cane Creek Angleset that allow an angle variation of +/- 0.5°/1,0°/1,5°.

AeroWagon frames will be available in size: S, M, L, XL.

AeroWagon: gravel of the future

Forcellini Breezer style

AEROWAGON ADOPTS BOTH REPLACEABLE DROPOUTS AND THANKS TO THE FRONT ECCENTRIC IT IS POSSIBLE TO ADJUST THE HEIGHT OF THE BOTTOM BRACKET AND THE LENGTH OF THE REAR END
The brake mounts are in 'Flat Mount' standard. The circular attachments above the dropout are designed for mounting the mudguard and luggage rack at the same time. The dropouts welding system, a very rigid outer shell inspired by the 'Breezer' style, significantly increases the rigidity of the dropout - seat stays assembly. Although not having the extreme adaptability and modularity of the top models, the Blue Train has many rare features in the world of gravel / bikepacking and as versatility it fully maintains the Locomotive philosophy.

Yoke Chainstays

THE AEROWAGON HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO HAVE A VERY GENEROUS TIRE CLEARANCE, AT LEAST 700 X 52 MM WITH ANY GRAVEL RIM AVAILABLE
So in order to have the necessary space inside the rear end and maintain compatibility with double and even triple transmissions, we had to work hard. The solution was to use two CNC-made steel plates, flat and thin but very rigid, which welded to the large bottom bracket shell and chainstays, create a box-like structure that maximizes the available space. Even the stiffening bridge welded to the two plates behind the bottom bracket has been curved in order to recover precious millimeters for the passage of the rear tire.

Titanium 3AL 2,5 V

Titanium is considered the best metal for bike frames production, thanks to the low density similar to the alloy, and it's really light, more than the steel
Corrosion resistance and robustness make it exceptional to have high performance, great comfort, thanks to the absorption of vibrations and a duration over time. We use Titanium tied with aluminum and vanadium, the best league for weldability and technical characteristics for our triple pipes thick in an increased diameter.

Eccentric bottom bracket and Angleset headset

aerowagon brings geometry customization to a new level. in addition to the eccentric bottom bracket it's provided a cane creek angleset that allow to change the head angle.
In addition to have really modern and progressive geometry, Aerowagon allows you to adapt different parameters to your use needs, thanks to the eccentric bottom bracket, the Angleset headset and the variable rake fork.
